The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) convened the 87th meeting of the National Codex Committee to harmonize food safety and agro-trading practices.
The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) convened key stakeholders for the 87th National Codex Committee meeting. Mr. Bwambale Benard, Head of Programs at CONSENT, represented consumer interest groups during technical sessions on international standards for pesticide residues and biological contaminants.
CONSENT emphasized the need to align national food standards with international Codex guidelines to ensure all imported and locally produced food items undergo rigorous quality compliance.
