On May 20, 2025, the Grain Council of Uganda (TGCU) convened the inaugural Grain Millers Summit at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The inaugural Grain Millers Summit focused on mitigating mycotoxins, particularly aflatoxin contamination in maize and sorghum flour.
Speaking at the summit, Mr. Bwambale Benard from CONSENT highlighted that safe grain handling and proper post-harvest processing directly safeguard human health and unlock international trade opportunities for Ugandan agricultural exporters.
